I have to disagree on this one. If there will be no gains in attacking and killing someone i will never attack them. It would be a waste of time and ammo/money! However like IAMAGEEKYEY said i will however defend myself from any threats to come! However if i then see i stand no chance i will try to make a run for it which with some luck will actually help.
I will have to agree with the fact that there will be wars for territory and trade routes. Especially since the territory is so vast people will find it hard to organize a mayor battle or even just accidentally find each other! However it will become a sort of struggle for reasources and trying to block the others and so giving yourself the upper hand.
In a way it is comparable with the 100 year war, there will be a lot of raids on enemy territory (trade routes and planets) and will eventually be decided by 1 or more mayor battles( there were only 4 mayor battles in the 100 year war). Of course the mayor battle will be avoided as long as possible until there is such a need of resources the battle is inevitable.
I see this as the most applicable situation seeing as the territory is so big there will be simply no other options!
Agreed, people will always put themselves first then probably the alliance and/or corporation. Maybe a few morals here or there but they will only be implemented by rules made by themselves or the alliance and/or corporation. I think the rules are an important factor seeing as they will keep order (or not) within the system. I like your point about exploiting the rules seeing as this will always happen no matter what, something leaders will really have to pay attention too.
Ooooooh boy! This is making me think Illyriad all over again. Legacy something which will just be the live and blood for some people. It really is fun to hear some of the legacies of raids or giant battles. I love this i really, really hope this will be a part of the game.
True the evil or good who does not spread his deeds does not become known while the people who "brag" and show off what they have done will be remembered.
This i find an interesting point seeing as i would never be able to do such a thing myself. However when i play games with my friends and they do something really good i tell them they did and find a way to get over that and use it so my advantage as fast as possible.
Agreed with this point. why be good if there is no benefits? If you can kill and earn then hell why not however if there is nothing to earn just don't do it. However if you protect him he might honor you and eventually come to your aid when you need it. Which in my eyes is what is meant with respecting of the actions.
